Volunteering at Teen Ranch

Teen Ranch has a rich history of volunteers who come from Sydney, interstate and overseas to aid in the ministry and mission of the Ranch. The mission began on the back of volunteers, and we seek to keep this tradition alive today as we serve our community.

Our volunteers supplement the staffing needs of the Ranch, primarily during the school holidays, although they are welcome any time of year. Volunteers come to the Ranch for one day, a week, or even months at a time to experience being part of the community here and to serve the mission.

Our volunteers often find themselves all over the site, performing a wide variety of duties according to their own skill set. The experiences range from helping in the kitchen, to assisting on an activity to leading in the cabins during holiday roundups. All these things are essential in maintaining the high quality of camp experience we offer at Teen Ranch.

As a volunteer staff member, it is not all about what you can offer the Ranch. We see it as our mission and privilege to contribute to our volunteers lives also. Our mentoring programme and bible studies are extended to volunteers and we look forward to sharing life with all who become part of our community, in whatever capacity and for whatever length of time.

For all staff at Teen Ranch, permanent and volunteer alike, their time as part of our community is one of personal and spiritual growth. With daily challenges and a plethora of opportunities, staff often find a deeper and more personal relationship with Jesus as a result of their time at the Ranch. For some, it is the first opportunity they have to consider who Jesus is to them and what it would mean to have a personal relationship with Him.
