Preparing Your Camp

Take the hassle out of organising your camp through
our streamlined pre-camp liaison process

test

For all groups that use Teen Ranch, we strive to make the pre-camp organisation as smooth and efficient as possible. The following information, sample programs and other links are provided to give you a greater understanding of how your camp will run.

Program Details

All Teen Ranch camps are fully programmed by our staff. Specialised activities sessions are run by Teen Ranch staff who are trained and experienced in their respective areas. Students are to be split into activity groups of around 20 in number (a maximum of 24) and throughout the camp students will rotate around the scheduled activities. Night activities and Christian Discovery sessions are integrated with all programs and run by Teen Ranch staff. Camps are fully catered.

Pre-Camp Liaison

Our program coordinator will liaise with you directly to organise your camp program - this will occur approximately 6 weeks prior to your arrival and a group leader information pack will be sent to you. Combining the experience of Teen Ranch staff and your knowledge of the students, we seek to create a program that will satisfy your particular aims and objectives. The program coordinator will help you select your activities based on the duration and objectives of your camp and the age and abilities of your students. Any specific inclusions you wish to make (e.g. teacher-run sessions) can be discussed at this stage.

We have prepared a Risk Assessment document (based on the proforma in the NSW DET School Excursion Policy) covering all aspects of your Teen Ranch camp. This dramatically simplifies this aspect of excursion preparation and minimizes your administration burden.

For those schools selecting the Expand package, achievement of PDHPE curriculum outcomes can be discussed at this stage. A summary of outcomes achievable in each activity and pre and post camp worksheets are available.
