Every time we finish our ‘Roundups’ holiday camps, I'm sure you’ll agree that life doesn't go back to normal straight away. Living as close as we all do for the whole week, whether juniors or seniors, is intense and while there’s a lot of fun to be had here, a lot of real emotions go on too.

So I wanted to encourage you this weekend in the challenges laid before you during Roundups by either Julie or Aaron - to keep seeking the truth about God for yourself. Some of you may have heard about Him for the first time, others are already on the journey to live a life close to Him and still, others are somewhere in between. No matter who you are, where you come from or how much you know already, God desires that each of us pursue our own individual relationship with Him.

Often I talk with campers after they have been here and decided to investigate more about Jesus and then a term later they realise they’ve let so much just come between them and this goal.

You can click on the following verses to see where Paul writes in the new testament the following challenges to others that desired the same thing:

“You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth”  Galatians 5:7

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us” Hebrews 12:1

My hope for you is that while Roundups may be for you, a great time to stop and assess where you stand with God, while you’re not here with us, you can continue to strive hard toward a growing relationship with Him. Make choices that help to that end, read your bible, look up ways to learn more, get involved in a church or youth group that you can have people that will encourage you to keep on growing. We love being part of a place that helps all people grow in their walk with their heavenly father, so we’d love to hear how you’re going and if there’s anything you’d like us to cover in an article that might help, please feel free to ask. Our hope is that you might run this race with perseverance and not lose sight of the goal, the finish line, that is a perfect and true relationship with our God and Father.
